Anthony Lynn Gets his Degree For his Players, For his Family and For Himself

Last spring, Anthony quietly enrolled to complete his college degree nearly 30 years after he started it, he wasn’t interested in the pomp and circumstance. On the first day of the offseason program, the same day he told his players about graduation, he gave them an assignment: Think of three things you would do for free. “Your passion lies in there somewhere,” he told them. He encouraged them to pursue those interests in the offseason, when they have the time to do so. Take a class, job shadow, or get an internship, he suggested. Lynn’s message to his players: Don’t be like me, 49 years old and going back to school. Finish your degree now.
