Former Lakota West star, NFL player spotlights local special needs students

A former local high school football star and NFL player’s foundation is sponsoring a series of upcoming events at area high schools to spotlight special needs students.

Cleveland Browns linebacker Jordan Hicks, a Lakota West High School graduate, has created a non-profit foundation “True Strength Ability Awareness” and will host its first event Friday at Hamilton High School’s basketball game, said officials with the Texas-based nonprofit.
