Sam Mayer Gets a Push from Chevrolet on his Road into Nascar
Franklin teenager Sam Mayer has taken another step toward a NASCAR career as part of the Chevrolet-backed driver development program launched as a joint effort of GMS Racing and JR Motorsports.
Drivers Edge Development was announced Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
With JRM and GMS working together, participants will have the opportunity to work their way up the development ladder, with JR operating regional late-model and NASCAR Xinfity Series programs and GMS fielding entries in the K&N Pro Series, Gander Outdoors Truck Series and Xfinity.
