IT’S AARON
Capture Sports & Entertainment helped the itsAaron campaign increase audience awareness and engagement in Wisconsin. Providing public relations and social media strategy and execution, we helped to secure Milwaukee-area and nationwide media coverage including ESPN, USA Today, Yahoo Sports, Huffington Post, FOX Sports, People magazine, Sports Illustrated and many more.
THE STORY
Dylan and sisters Alexis, Starr and Kylee were all smiles as they were reunited for the first time since Camp Hometown Heroes when Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers paid them a surprise visit. He sat down with them to talk about their experience at the camp, which offers a free, weeklong experience for children who lost a family member in the U.S. military.
Camp Hometown is one of several organizations that Aaron Rodgers highlighted in his itsAaron campaign, created by himself and Gruber Law Offices, with the goal of increasing awareness for Wisconsin organizations.
Capture managed public relations and social media for the IndependenceFirst, Gold in September (G9) and Camp Hometown Heroes episodes. We worked alongside CI Design, who produced and directed the campaign to garner increased coverage for the videos by coordinating interviews and securing media placements, which gained traction following the videos’ release.
Capture focused on expanding the reach of the video, coordinating and booking airtime on local media news programs, as well as pitching the episodes locally and nationally, along with overseeing the featured organizations’ social media platforms.
The entire campaign reached over a million views online, significantly increasing the awareness and bringing in over a hundred thousand dollars in donations for several Milwaukee non-profit organizations.
