BIJAN ROBINSON

Atlanta Falcons, Personal Branding

In Bijan Robinson’s first few minutes of life, he stopped breathing. When all hope seemed lost, his grandmother felt a message from God to place her two fingers upon his forehead. His breathing began again and so did his path towards bringing the true hero out of himself and others through community service and trust for God’s plan. Bijan is a Persian name for “hero,” so it seemed to be destiny that the miracle baby would grow to make a positive impact in the world and honor his Hero.

Bijan was born into an athletic family. His grandfather and primary father-figure, Cleo, was an all-state linebacker and track standout. After his playing years were behind him, Cleo officiated for the Pac-12 for three decades. He is now retired. Cleo’s brother, Paul, was a running back in the NFL as well. It was Cleo who first fueled Bijan’s passion for the game. His grandmother, Terry, even has a box of items Bijan broke from throwing footballs around the house growing up. She told Bijan she kept it so that when he makes it to the NFL, he will pay her back for all of her broken items!

When Bijan graduated Salpointe Catholic High School after a stellar high school football career, he signed his letter of intent to play at the University of Texas. His collegiate football career has proved him as one of the best running backs in the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA). His three years playing collegiate football also granted him many Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals.

Through his athletic success growing up, Bijan always falls back on his main values: the relationship and trust he has in God. His athletic achievements and community involvement ground him in the mission to have the greatest impact granted by following God’s path.
